We all know that April brings its fair share of rain showers, however, it brings something else which is much, much happier — Friends and Family sales! This is especially exciting if you’re questioning if you have friends or family and then stores wave banners in your face that say you are THEIR friend or family and suddenly, we all feel a little less lonely. We also may feel a little more broke when it’s all said and done, but that is neither here nor there.

Told you. You should know by now that I am a sucker for Kiehl’s products – fortunately for me, their line of products is included in the Lord & Taylor Friends and Family sale which makes me one happy [and hydrated] camper. A month or so ago I started using their Instant Renewal Concentrate Mask and oh my hydration, I am in love. I apply once a week and I can’t ever get over how it cools my skin and leaves it feeling smoother and replenished. I totally recommend, especially right now while it’s 15% off. Next up, I decided to try a new foundation – I’ve been using the same once since I was 13 [I know, change is not my best skill] and had heard good things about this Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15. It is super lightweight and goes on so smooth. I love that it has SPF built-in and doesn’t look heavy or cakey at all. It is oil free making this face quite happy!  Next up, blush. I tried this Lancome Blush in Aplum shade and I love, love, love it. It’s a little lighter, more feminine shade than I typically use and now I don’t know if I’ll ever go back. The color stays on all day long and goes on beautifully.
To set all of the hard work that applying make-up is, I turned to this Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder which I was introduced to earlier this year during a photo shoot where the makeup artist used this on me and swore by it. You simply brush it over top of your makeup and it not only sets your makeup but helps diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles and smooths skin. A definite must-have in my opinion!  Last but certainly not least, fragrance. Before I dive into my preferred perfume [which yes, is now on sale!] I have to mention the candle you see burning in the photo below. I can’t get enough of these Paddywax Candles as the scents are amazing and the look of their concrete containers. If you want your home to smell like a little slice of Heaven, definitely check these out. Speaking of little slices of Heaven and scents, insert Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum Spray. It is not an overpowering floral scent but has hints of tea, bergamot, and jasmine and will cause people to ask you what you’re wearing.
