Paint Color: Softened Green by Sherwin Williams

Hello LIY Community, If you don’t me yet, I’m Cassidy, the Director of Marketing here at Living in Yellow! I grew up not to far from Erin, went to college at Purdue University and married my high school sweetheart! Believe it or not, but I have been with LIY since I graduated college in 2018 [and have enjoyed every second of it]! 2023 has been and will continue to be an exciting year for me and my little fam because we are welcoming a baby girl early October! We weren’t sure if we were going to have kids, and at one point it was even a hard “nope.” But something changed in us and we are so thrilled for what is to come!

One of my favorite parts of pregnancy so far is all of the nesting 🤣 I really do love it. All of the organizing and prepping… it leaves me feeling so satisfied! So when it came time to design our nursery, I was PUMPED. I have a love for interior decorating so this was a fun challenge to take on. There are obviously SO many colors, themes, and options out there so I did consult an interior designer [Bauer Home Design] that I found through Instagram for some help! She really helped nail down my overall vision and then I took it from there! So come on in and allow me to show you around our nursery…

Ps. I still haven’t had my baby showers yet so you may notice some important items are missing [i.e. a waste bin, diaper caddy, etc.]! Don’t fret, those things will make it into this room before our baby does!

The overall vibe: Earthy, calming, nature, subtle yet colorful, vintage, and most importantly – meaningful!

Pillow // Crib // Crib Sheet // Curtains // Floral Artwork // Similar Bird Artwork

This pillow… I just had to have it. I know, I know, it was a splurge but just LOOK at it! I loved bugs growing up and I have a feeling my little mini me will be the same! Ps. The pillow will be moved from the crib once baby girl arrives!

Baby Blanket // Pillow // Crib // Crib Sheet // Rug

The interior designer that I contacted recommended this navy crib and I was obsessed. I love that we went with an unexpected color and the Jenny Lind style has a special place in my heart! Also – Katy on the team recommended this baby blanket and it is SO soft.

Floral Artwork // Similar Bird Artwork // Bunny Wall Hanging // Similar Wall Hanging

Aside from the bunny, all of the artwork was thrifted PLUS I actually already owned them all [win, win]! I love them paired together and I think it really gives the space an eclectic, vintage vibe.

I also thrifted this adorable little lamb. I’ll be honest, it doesn’t really serve a purpose aside from cuteness!

Baskets // Pillow // Crib // Crib Sheet // Curtains // Floral Artwork // Similar Bird Artwork

I love the look of these baskets but also that they serve as storage! For now, we are using it to store her toys! Living in an old home means limited closet space so we are trying to maximize on alternative storage options!

Glider // Throw Pillow // Side Table [from Home Goods] // Bow Hooks // Embroidered Sweater // Curtains // Curtain Rod // Curtain Rings

Another splurge worthy item! Of all the things, my husband had one request – A comfy glider with a high head rest! This chair swivels, glides, and manually reclines. Plus, it’s stunning!

Bunny Stuffed Animal // Decorative Plate // Vase // Faux Florals // Wooden Toy // Shadow Box // Scalloped Frame // Bunny Book Ends

Bunny Book Ends

I have a slight bunny/animal theme to the room and fell in love with these bookends. As of now, we don’t have any sort of book shelf or organization so this was the best option for us!

Decorative Plate // Wooden Toy

Another fun favorite. This decorative plate had all of the colors that I wanted to incorporate into baby girl’s room and really served as an inspiration for the space!

Shadow Box // Scalloped Frame

This may be the most special thing in the room… My grandmother recently passed away but not before knitting our sweet lil girl a hat and a pair of socks. She hoped that these would be passed on throughout the generations so I decided to preserve it the best that I could. This shadow box was the perfect way to display and honor my Grandma Judy 💓

Similar Mirror

Another thrift find! Although, this mirror was the one I had my eye on and would’ve purchased if I didn’t find a vintage alternative!

Similar Mirror // Similar Dresser // Knobs // Changing Pad // Rug

Okay don’t hate me, but YES another thrift find! My husband and I found this dresser on Facebook Marketplace and simply replaced the knobs! I did find one that is super similar in style though!

And there you have it…
